New training module on emergency contraceptive pills
A new training module on emergency contraceptive pills is now available, in two adaptations:
- For clinical health care providers: www.fptraining.org/projects/emergency-contraceptive-pills-ecp
- For pharmacists: www.fptraining.org/projects/emergency-contraceptive-pills-ecps-training-pharmacists
These modules are part of the Training Resource Package for Family Planning (TRP), a comprehensive set of materials designed to support up-to-date training on family planning and reproductive health. The TRP contains modules on specific contraceptive methods, along with other essential topics like Family Planning Counseling and WHO’s FP Guidance Documents and Job Aids. The TRP effort is led by USAID, the World Health Organization, and UNFPA, in partnership with several other organizations.
Each module was developed using evidence-based technical information and contains curriculum components and tools needed to design, implement, and evaluate training. The materials are appropriate for pre-service and in-service training and applicable in both the public and private sectors. They can be downloaded and adapted to suit local contexts.
